Slave Ship

This is a picture of the horrible conditions in which slaves were treated. It shows the way slaves were packed like sardines and had to go to the top part of the ship just to breathe. They were incredibly malnourished so they could not fight back, and they were then sold at an auction to work as slaves just as they thought the worst was over.

    This is a really touching picture. I do not think many people realize the rough conditions and horrible things slaves saw while they were on the ship. The only way we can get somewhat of a true sense is through pictures. This pictures helps me to see how packed the ships were. I could never imagine going through anything like this.
